Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading

Who is it for?

This Level 2 qualification is suitable for new and developing team leaders who have some personal autonomy and responsibility. It provides the opportunity to develop the core competencies needed by team leaders in today's dynamic business world, focusing on managing personal development, working relationships and communicating information and knowledge.

What is it about?

To achieve the full qualification candidates will have to achieve a minimum of 17 credits, 10 of which are from the Group A mandatory units:

Group A

• Managing personal development (4 credits)
• Develop working relationships with colleagues (3 credits)
• Communicate information and knowledge (3 credits)

Plus one unit from each of Groups B and C optional units below:

Group B

• Set objectives and provide support for team members (5)
• Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team (5)

Group C

• Manage or support equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion in own area of responsibility (4)
• Support team members to identify, develop and implement new ideas (4)
• Manage conflict in a team (3)
• Lead and manage meetings (4)
• Participate in meetings (2)
• Make effective decisions (3)
• Manage knowledge in own area of responsibility (4)
• Procure supplies (2)
• Manage customer service in own area of responsibility (4)
