    Karen Martin CMgr FCMI MBTI RBCB

    Director and Principal Consultant

     

    A Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Karen is a long-established leader, manager and coach within the finance, education and business sectors. A non-executive board member for a number of organisations, Karen’s attention to detail and ability to empower other leaders and managers, means that she is able to deliver on providing businesses and organisations with clear, effective guidance to support the development of their strategic plans and operational delivery strategies.

     

    Since specialising as a coach, Karen has supported those she’s worked with to become more confident, better-performing individuals who can maximise their own and their team’s performance, whilst progressing their careers and navigating professional and personal transitions in their work and life. Karen’s coaching approach focuses on the development of the person and the belief that in turn, this benefits the performance and wellbeing of themselves and those they work with and for.

     

    Coaching with Karen is highly personalised and adapted according to the needs of individual and what’s important to them. This enables individuals to explore current professional and personal challenges, whilst thinking about where they aspire to be. Her approach is evidence-based and grounded in a collaborative coaching relationship, focused on maximising professional and personal potential.

     

    As an educator, with an established background in quality assurance, Karen is able to provide training and assessment services which are robust and compliant, but which also consider the importance of meaningful feedback to ensure development at all times.

     

    Karen is a qualified Further Education and Skills Teacher, Corporate Coach, Assessor, Quality Assurer, Myers Briggs Practitioner and Mental Health First Aider.

    Jon Martin CMgr FCMI

    Director and Consultant

     

    A Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Jon has extensive experience in leading teams of assessors and quality assurers and developing their practice to meet awarding organisation requirements and demands of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework.

     

    Jon has extensive experience identifying and developing teaching, learning and assessment practices for national apprenticeship training providers and FE college groups.

     

    To support Ofqual’s aim to drive high-quality end-point assessments, Jon has undertaken quality assurance reviews judging the extent to which assessment materials are fit for purpose and enable end-point assessors to make accurate and consistent judgments.

     

    Jon has also been commissioned by end-point assessment organisations (EPAOs) to conduct health checks to support preparation for Ofqual external quality assurance activities. By assimilating quantitative and qualitative data and provision of evidence-based feedback Jon has enabled EPAOs to measure their performance against the Ofqual EQA framework and implement recommendations for improvement.

     

    Drawing from his background in leadership and management, Jon is heavily involved with the design of Think Tall’s training solutions to support workforce development and achieve client objectives.
